Pros

It was going good until Senior Leadership couldn't control the bleeding of funds.

Cons

-Company had massive layoff of employees the last week of July claiming it was due to market issues (yet, no other similar companies in the area did lay offs). -Postings for Loan Officer positions posted around the web are making promises that cannot be kept. There are only at this point 3-4 processors in the office, which is not enough to process loans coming in. -Members of senior leadership are doing things that are outside of their descriptions (hypothetical example- someone as leader of Dpt. A is not doing jobs of entry level people in Dpt F and is no way qualified to do those things). -Multiple confirmations that the company is going to close down in the next few months.

We are sorry to hear about your bad experience. Our entire industry got wrecked and we unfortunately had to lay off tons of employees and friends of ours, which is something that truly saddened us. We do care about all of our employees and we understand that our management couldn't handle the immense amount of employees, the new Providential.com is definitely going to have new techniques to make sure this does not happen in the future. Thank you for your feedback, we need it to better ourselves.

Pros

The company is very casual. It's easy to get to know your coworkers because you work so closely with each other (if you work in the corporate office). Things are pretty fluid at Providential. If you have an idea to make something better, someone will be there to listen.

Cons

Sometimes you have to do work that isn't a part of your job description, but it's all for the good of the company. You do what needs to be done because you are part of a team, which is actually part of Providential's charm.

Pros

Providential is a true dot.com company that is working with all the current technology available and pushing the bleeding edge to bring the mortgage industry into the future. We are a totally virtual organization that is committed to growth. We advocate a "culture of empowerment" in not only our words, but more importantly, our actions. Do we make mistakes and screw up? Sure we do. We're human and we're also moving very quickly and in unknown territory. What's more important is that we recognize and take responsibility for our mistakes and then take the necessary steps to make sure that we learn from them and do not make them again. What more can you ask from anyone? A boss or a company?

Cons

Some growing pains, but as noted above, it's all good. A constructive part of growth.
