      Pros

      Good work environment, little stress if you find the right manager.

      Cons

      Some manager are promoted to that position based on years of service and don't have any actual management skill. Too much bureaucratic nonsense and they are at least ten years behind on any and all technological issues

      It can be difficult to get used to the way they do things, but there is usually support if you ask.
