Pros
Provalus is a great company to work for overall. Leadership enters communities and are thinking about employees through the entire process of establishing new locations. I started in Brewton when there were only 70 employees and got the privilege to watch this specific location grow to over 300 employees but the company as a whole grow from 3 locations to 7 across the US. Having a peak into leadership helped bridge relationships with employees and truly understand that their employees are on their minds first. No employee is thought of differently than the other. The effort that goes into constantly trying to improve PTO/Benefits/ and ensuring employees felt seen and heard is admirable because that can get lost in companies that are growing at the rate Provalus is. This company cannot be compared to your average entry level job- your managers and leaders are constantly trying to find the next best thing and advancement opportunities for all employees in every meeting with clients. While it can feel slow to have promotion opportunity- it’s there. I valued that anytime promotion opportunities came up rather that was on the technical/customer experience/corporate side- leadership always looked within the company before posting a job to the public. The company events/give back days/potlucks/company “fun” competitions kept employee engagement and “togetherness” at a high which made work feel more exciting and there always was something to look forward to. If you come to work, do your job and do it well, ask for help (because it’s always there rather that be a trainer/team lead/delivery manager/etc.) you will have advancement opportunity. Nothing great comes from the snap of a finger but staying consistent in good work and persistent with communication with your leaders can get you far with this company.
Cons
Every job will come with hardships- the pros outweigh the cons especially if you are looking to get your foot in the door with IT and gain experience/have career advancement opportunities.
