Pros

If nothing else you can get hired on as a 1099 independent contractor, get a small stipend and commissions for any any sales you get.

Cons

Old school, sweat shop management, deceptive practices, bully tactics, get me three sales a week or else. While you are hired as a 1099 contractor , you are not treated like one. Commissions are slow in being paid out.

Pros

Nearly unlimited commission opportunities. Fortune 100 client providing best in class service. Comprehensive training available in both a structured and unstructured environment (ie…. unstructured means furthering your knowledge and skill set above and beyond if you choose with available resources). This is a commission SALES job. If you don’t have a passion for sales, for learning your product and always understanding a changing sales environment, it will be a more difficult job.

Cons

Because the product you are selling has a market based cost that can be unpredictable, some people get frustrated with things out of their control that makes selling the product more difficult at times and easier at times. People who have a difficult time with this unpredictability or have not put in the time and energy (pun) to understand the product they sell will be more challenged.
