Pros

I have been working as a Penetration Tester at Protergo Cyber Security for the past 3 years, and this experience has been both fascinating and instrumental in developing my skills. The company strongly emphasizes cybersecurity infrastructure development and provides ample opportunities for employees to continuously learn and enhance their technical expertise. Pros: 1. Collaborative Work Environment: The cybersecurity team here is highly collaborative and supportive. There are numerous opportunities to work alongside experienced professionals across different divisions who are experts in their respective fields. 2. Career Development and Training: The company offers various cybersecurity training programs and certifications. During my tenure, I was given the opportunity to pursue certifications like OSCP, fully funded by the company. 3. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary with an excellent benefits package. The company also offers performance bonuses based on achievements and project targets. 4. Diverse and Challenging Projects: As a Penetration Tester, I'm involved in various projects ranging from infrastructure testing and web application penetration testing to Red Teaming activities such as social engineering and physical infiltration. This provides rich experience and broadens my expertise.

Cons

1. Irregular Working Hours: Due to the nature of client engagements and strict deadlines, working hours can be unpredictable. Sometimes, overtime or weekend work is necessary to complete projects on schedule. 2. Time-Consuming Documentation: One of the more time-intensive aspects is the process of documenting test results and report preparation. This often becomes the most tedious part of the job, especially after completing challenging technical assessments. 3. Fast-Paced Work Environment: The company maintains a very rapid work pace, particularly when handling major projects. This can be challenging for newcomers or those unaccustomed to a dynamic work environment.
