Pros

I'm fairly new to Proofpoint but I am already blown away by what I've experienced since joining the company a few months ago. Since joining, I've been welcomed by warm and kind people, received answers to my hundreds of questions and been able to contribute to our business strategy without having to second guess myself or navigate around internal politics. It makes me feel like I am a valued team member and that my future here is bright! I wasn't here under the previous leadership team, but I've heard a lot about changes this year and though I respect that change is always sucky, I feel really excited about whats to come with the new leaders at the helm. The one thing that really sticks out to me about Proofpoint so far is that the work we do is really important. It feels like every day I receive spam texts and emails on my personal accounts and it feels like there are more and more shady people out there looking to scam people. I am really proud to be part of a company that is fighting the good fight and people that are part of the "good guys."

Cons

I am about a couple of hours away from the closest office and considered a remote employee- I wish I could spend more time in the office to get to know my new colleagues but I haven't figured out yet how that works for remote employees when it comes to mileage or parking reimbursement.

Pros

Products work for the most part. You are selling technology that cyber professionals need. It’s easier than most companies in the space to get meetings with security executives.

Cons

Micro management that doesn’t add value or help love deals. They are paper pushing and reporting and continuously have last min reporting needs that take precedence over getting deals done. They bring a lot of problems to the table with few solutions. Many came with out management experience and do not have the people skills to manage different people and personalities. Proofpoint is extremely cheap with expenses. Be prepared to have to cover bills yourself if you take clients out to dinner because if you go to a nice restaurant and the client orders an app, a few drinks, a meal and desert, Proofpoint will not even cover this when it’s reasonable. There is a lot of competition in the space and that makes every deal a knife fight going back and forth on price. In general they treat women very poorly. No support for maternity or post partum with very bad benefits that don’t match other tech companies.
