I have really enjoyed how much I can get involved in. For the eager, hard worker, this is a great place to be. I have been able to get so much experience in so many different realms, which has really helped me to develop my resume. Staff are similarly passionate about their jobs and are committed to environmental justice. With only 8 employees, the team is very intimate and tightknit. Executive Director, Gillian, has been under a recent smear campaign by dissatisfied ex-employees who stole from the company, never actually cared for environmental work, slept during work, showed up late (or not at all) and expected to not have to work hard in a small nonprofit. Their reviews are garbage. I am so thankful for my time here. It feels like a real family, quirks and all.

The stress can be real sometimes, but this is to be expected at a small nonprofit aiming to target huge industries. I think it's really amazing to see how resilient the staff is in light of how difficult our work can be at times. My biggest issue is honestly the commute (the office is located on a pretty tight street that is not very walkable), but I only have to come into the office 2-3 days a week. I think people (aka ex-employees) think that since the pay is a bit low (but very average for nonprofit work) that they don't need ot put in effort/show up on time, but that's not the place. This place is a great place to work if you're genuinely passionate and eager to help. The Executive Director is really understanding of personal life situations, and I've never had a serious hiccup with her. I will genuinely miss working here.
