Cons
- Absolutely no job security, with many jokes being made about ex-staff not passing probation for a host of reasons - also jokes towards new starters about us not being apart of the “family” until we pass the probation - I have had these jokes directed towards me and team members from members of the senior leadership team. - Hopefully you don’t fall sick during your probation and need a day off - I took 2 days in 2 months as a factor of my insomnia, which was approved by my line manager, however these days were brought up in my termination notice. My line manager confirmed the company will accommodate as best they could with my health issue, hence I was shocked to see that this was brought up during my termination. - My termination was an unfortunate situation that involved a small mistake I made during my personal time, that carried into my job - although very regretful, I believe the company didn’t show a duty of care, and terminated me right before Christmas (during a time where hiring is virtually dormant), leaving me in a terrible financial situation for a number of months. - I was never welcomed by the Managing Director as warmly as the handful of other new starters, and always felt an air of tension. I cannot draw on where this stemmed from, as I always aimed to maintain a proactive and professional attitude. - As someone with extensive experience in my position, I was constantly micromanaged and patronised. There is no autonomy in the role whatsoever. - Lots of friction between the heads of each sales cluster, with a shocking level of negativity with the competitiveness.
