Pros

When looking back there weren’t too many! Your time at PLD is mainly defined by negative experiences with a small smattering of semi enjoyable moments. Impact Day is usually fun though!

Cons

Honestly, a lot! The Business is designed around senior leadership. If you aren’t in that bracket, and 95% of staff aren’t, then you are in for a tough time. Promotion opportunities are so limited that they are almost non existent. This is likely to be an issue for ambitious younger employees but the lack of headroom is no issue for those within the upper echelons of the organisation. They have already got to where they want to be, why should they care about you? (They really don’t, that’s the answer, although you won’t get that level of honesty). It’s also tough to actually do your job. There are so many layers of middle management in the organisation that the process is slow and cumbersome. Getting anything accomplished doesn’t feel like a success because it’s so attritional. Middle management layers are much more concerned about how a failure, or potential failure, will impact upon them that they limit opportunities for others to succeed. There are also colleagues within the business who are almost impossible to work with and make your job harder than it needs to be. Finally, they don’t actually pay very well compared to other organisations in the same space. Bonuses and salaries are far lower here than almost anywhere else where you will do a comparable job.

Pros

Prologis has a collaborative and entrepreneurial culture where teamwork and creativity are genuinely encouraged. Employees are trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and work across teams to solve complex challenges. The work is dynamic and engaging, and there are opportunities to learn from talented colleagues across many parts of the business. Leadership promotes a strong culture of partnership, and the company continues to invest in both innovation and employee development.

Cons

The pace can be demanding, and the workload is often significant given the scale and complexity of the business. Many projects require coordination and alignment across multiple stakeholders, which can sometimes slow decision-making and require patience and persistence. There is not always a one-size-fits-all solution, so employees need to be adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity and collaboration.

Pros

As a seasoned employee at Prologis, I’ve had the opportunity to experience the company’s growth and evolution firsthand, and it continues to be a fantastic place to work. The culture truly values its employees, and leadership is approachable, supportive, and transparent—creating a strong sense of trust across teams. There are great opportunities for growth and learning, especially as the company continues to innovate. Prologis is also very AI-focused, actively exploring and investing in new technologies that improve efficiency and keep the company forward-thinking. This creates exciting opportunities to learn, grow, and be part of meaningful innovation. Prologis also does an excellent job giving back to the community, which makes the work feel even more meaningful. Benefits are competitive, Prologis offers beautiful office spaces and a flexible hybrid work environment which emphasizes that there’s a strong focus on work-life balance. Overall, it’s a place where you feel valued, supported, and part of something bigger.

Cons

One challenge I’ve observed is that career progression can vary depending on the department. In some areas, opportunities to move into higher-level roles may be limited, particularly when those positions are held long-term. Additionally, the level of support and development can vary by manager and team, which can impact the overall employee experience. While many leaders are highly supportive, consistency across the organization can differ.

Thank you for taking the time to share this and for being part of the company’s journey over the years. It’s meaningful to see how the culture, leadership approach and focus on innovation have shaped your experience. We measure manager effectiveness to strengthen accountability for the day-to-day leadership that most directly shapes performance, engagement and retention. In 2025, 87% of our employees reported that their manager was effective or highly effective. We host ongoing trainings for our leaders to continuously improve that metric.
