Pros
The team at Prolific are really passionate about what they do, and work very collaboratively. I am always greeted with warmth and enthusiasm whenever working with someone in the company who I haven’t worked with before. I have worked at Prolific for several years and have been fortunate to have a lot of opportunity to grow and progress in the role. I feel I’ve been provided a healthy balance of autonomy and support to allow me to grow in my career. Due to the company growing quickly, there is always something new to learn and experience. The work that Prolific is doing is exciting. The company has grown significantly each year I’ve been there, and the company has been able to adapt to meet the needs of new customers and ride new waves of opportunity. There’s good compensation and benefits at Prolific. Competitive salary, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, health insurance, L&D budget, remote first working, budget to purchase items for home office setup, share options and more recently a bonus scheme too. Overall it’s a great company to work at to grow in your career while working alongside a brilliant team and being recognised for your efforts.
Cons
It’s fair to acknowledge that due to quick growth, there can be periods of significant change which can sometimes feel unsettling, and I think specific teams at Prolific feel this more than others. I don’t think this is necessarily a con for everyone, but for some people it will be. There are lots of brilliant ideas of what we can do at Prolific, but as there are so many ideas we need to prioritise which can sometimes mean that you need to appreciate as a team that a nice to have for you won’t make it to be a top priority. This will be the case at any workplaces and is understandable/necessary but again it’s fair to acknowledge that occasionally that can be a downside.
