Pros

They pay ALMOST $2 dollars above minimum wage.

Cons

So I made it through the first day of training and was completely flabbergasted that this call center hadn't been raided yet and shutdown. First of all when the training group started we originally had 13 people and by the end of the day there was only 7 of us left. Our trainer was so rude and unprofessional. If someone didn't know something on the first day of training she called them out and saying "Well your obviously doing it wrong, you're not paying attention, this is why you shouldn't go to the bathroom while I am teaching, it has to be your fault, or you're obliviously not getting it." It was everyone's first day and she was treating them like they should already know the ends and outs of the company. So about the job, in all honesty you are totally robbing the elderly, the gullible, and person's not familiar with technology. Basically the customer are surfing the web and come across pop-ups advertising "supplements" that are supposedly going to make you young again, lose a billion pounds, detoxify your body, give you more stamina, and better sex drive. This pop-up states "FREE TRIAL" and so they fill out their personal info to get their "FREE" pills and as soon as they hit enter that is when their trial period starts. So basically they have anywhere from 11-13 days to cancel their "FREE TRIAL" or they will be billed for well over a $100 every single month. No where does it state this unless you click on and read the terms and conditions. The terms and conditions link is in extremely small print usually near the very bottom of the page. Now the whole process to cancel and get their money back is a horrendously long and soul crushing for you and especially the customer. We listened to a call that the trainer didn't screen beforehand and it was an elderly man's caregiver trying to get her patients money back because he was been charged over a $1000 in just 3 months because of those supplements he bought online. The representative the caregiver spoke to was demanding to have the elderly man on the phone and when he eventually got on he sounded confused and obviously didn't know what was going on. When the rep explained he bought some pills online the elderly man actually said he wanted "MORE PILLS" and the rep was more than happy to to tell him where he could purcahse more. At this point the caregiver got back on the phone and was telling the rep the man couldn't afford his inhaler for his COPD and it was because of this trial he was on. Eventually the caregiver said she was going to call back with the elderly man's daughter to get it straightened out. After the call the trainer was just laughing and cutting up about the old man, saying he knew what he was getting himself into and he should've read the terms and conditions. It was sickening and sad, all I could think about is my grandparents or my SO's grandparents getting wrapped up in a scam like this. I felt gross about being there and what they were putting these poor people through. At this point I am going to state and some local representatives to see if this business is actually legit and legal.

Pros

full time and they give you ok compensation

Cons

Let me just start by saying that everyone i worked with constantly wanted to quit. I did to. the way it works is you take calls for different companies that offer the same bull scam the sign up for a trial pay 4.95 and then if they don't call (which is either in the terms& conditions box or on the website in small print) then they get billed 80$ and enrolled into autoship. they train you on new programs and when you ask questions half the supervisors don't know how to answer and then you get in trouble for your customer being on hold for a long time. It is a scam and if it was just retention where customers were mad about a electricity bill which you could fix that would be different but this company takes money out of people accounts without their knowledge and most of the time you can't give it back. I once talked to an 86 year old woman who signed up for face cream and lived on disability. we took her grocrey money. OH and the main boss talks about EVERYONE behind their backs he once said that people that work here are the kind of people that didn't have friends in highschool. MANAGMENT DOESN'T know or care what they are doing and they have gotten shut down multiple times and changed names one of the old names was verocity group llc. if you want to be respected and have a decent job, i would never reccomend that you work here. i could say so much more but i think you get the point.

PEG is a Business Process Outsourcing firm in Mesquite Texas. We take calls for all types of products. We have clear sets of guidelines for each campaign we take. Each campaign is different. Because we do a fair amount of billing support, there are unhappy and difficult customers. I think this is pretty common for most call centers. PEG has never been shut down. A lot of what is in the post is inaccurate. However, we are aware call centers are not for everyone. We work hard to make the job as flexible and as comfortable as we can. We will take the feedback and continue to improve our management and representative interaction.
