- Management is absent, incompetent and disinterested. Lack of managerial leadership. Managers will show up late and leave early, if they bother to show up at all. Still not sure how the manager of a retail store can work remotely. - IT staff are divorced from the day to day operations of the retail store/photo lab and rental store. IT generally seems more interested in pushing new technology than making the systems already in place work effectively for retail staff. Have a systems issue? You will probably have to figure it out yourself because no one is interested in helping you. - Management and IT have proven to generally be clueless about the products and services offered in the store. Data entry errors are the rule not the exception. - Lack of training on systems and policies, management will introduce policies that are often forgotten about days later. - "HR department" is either absent or disinterested. - No room for advancement. - Retail staff are overworked, underpaid, and not shown adequate appreciation or compensation for the work they do.
