Pros

Fun startup culture. Monthly meetups at a co-working space with catered lunch and free happy hours (these started to be less frequent after the acquisition by private equity). Lots of cross-team communication with ability to have input in a lot of different areas of the company.

Cons

Lack of investment in engineering to actually fix major issues with the software but instead just build out new features to look attractive for being acquired. Once acquired in Spring of 2022, they started to edge out tenured employees and bring in more outside hires. Cost savings became more of a priority over employee happiness. I also heard of a new hire being offered the same if not more money than a senior employee in the same position, effectively punishing them for loyalty. Also, I don't know if this has changed since I left but I could tell that the support and success teams were drastically understaffed.

Pros

I've been with Printavo for a few years now and I've seen the company grow from a name floating around the whispers at trade shows to a name people actively seek out. Printavo is awesome because, while we want people to subscribe to our service, we also take great pride in being industry leaders whether you use Printavo our not. Printavo has become a hub for decorated apparel education, networking, and general community. When COVID-19 hit hard, we adjusted our product focus to help our clients stay in business. I truly believe that we saved a measurable amount of companies from going under. And that's because everyone at Printavo truly cares for the people we service. I could go on for ages, but some other perks: Genuine autonomy: You're a human being who has a family, life, dog, kids, whatever. We understand things come up. Get your job done and manage your life without someone breathing down your neck. Actual unlimited PTO: Need time off? Take it. Need a day off to catch a mental break? Take it. Sick? Take a day off. It's OK. Really. Culture: When there's not a pandemic we do fun stuff! We of course do the general happy hour but we've also done a ropes course, gone indoor rock climbing, volunteering at animal shelters. Got an idea for something great to do? We're open to it! Employee feedback: Actually gets listened to! Does everything get implemented? No, of course not, *but* if you have an idea on how to improve something or change something, it does not fall on deaf ears. We grow because of our people.

Cons

Things happen fast in our industry which can require some quick pivots and turnarounds. No asks are unreasonable, but I get that the quick change isn't for everybody.
