Pros
Specific people (Gina, Mike, Dante & Jamie) make the office sparkle and provide a friendly presence. They've gotten their employees a box to watch the flyers game in. They celebrate your birthday with your favorite cake. They'll let your dog/cat come in. You have a job.... with conditions*
Cons
*It sounds nice to have those things appreciated and that is mainly from Gina. She's an angel. Although, when you get inside the belly of the bear, it's not worth the damage this place will do to your mental health and your work experience. 1. If you're looking for somewhere to grow and move up, I don't suggest here. You will stay in the same spot with the same salary for years. 2. You must be punctual. You CANNOT be late. I mean even 30 seconds late. They will write you up and put you on probation. Also, you cannot leave a minute early. You'll be fired. They sent an email out that they understand accidents happen and traffic on the road. They said they know it is unpredictable but any excuse no matter traffic or accidents doesn't count for a reason to be late. They will write you up. They said to leave an hour to an hour and a half early then. 3. Your benefits include five PTO & five sick days. No more. If you run out of those, you get docked pay and it doesn't matter the reasons no matter what position you're in. Get ready for your health insurance to be a high bill with little benefits. 4. Be prepared to be threatened every week. Your job is on the line every single day and they will remind you. They may say "The success of PrimoHoagies is attributed to an excellent, long-tenured staff that regularly serves up a combination of quality, consistency, and originality." If you are talking about long tenured, the only people you are talking about is blood family members. The COO and CEO are the only one's who have the power to push people around and do whatever they please without consequence. The COO is a bit creepy. 5. The CEO: Nicholas Papanier Jr is a terrible raging employer. This company does NOT have Human Resources (HR). The HR is Nick who does not want to be bothered with anything but also will repeatedly punch a wall if you spell a single word wrong. He calls meetings just to belittle you. He emphasizes that he has the power and that's it. He will scream at you and swear at you. The environment is completely brutal and unprofessional. 6. Eventually you will get fired with no severance or real reason. You'll just be out like everyone else. No one stays at this company long unless you're family. 7. NJ Unemployment said I was fired for no wrongdoings of my own and it was on the company. I was let go for a spelling error on an Instagram post that was up for four minutes. Do you know why this happened? Because everyone in the marketing department (and other departments) are overworked. We all do one job that five people are supposed to be doing. They have money to hire more people. They don't want to find solutions to these small issues nor hold meetings about what can be changed. Then Nick is sending you threatening emails and calling you out in front of everyone for being a terrible worker. 8. Be prepared to be behind on all the work when you start. You'll probably catch up in a year but you'll have to get a therapist and physiatrist to make sure you get through it all okay. 9. Your work life balance does not exist. You only work. 10. Recap: You won't move up, grow, be treated as a human being, or have benefits that will help you. All said and done, it's up. If you want them to suck your soul out early, then welcome to Primohoagies.
