Pros

- Remote working. - Commitment to diversity in principle, though there are very few women currently working at Primer.

Cons

- Constant shifts in strategy and priorities (often every 1–2 months), creating instability and lack of direction. - High pressure to deliver results, but without adequate resources or support. - The market has become highly competitive, and Primer no longer feels like a pioneer in payment orchestration. This urgency is reflected in reactive decision-making. - Little to no work-life balance. Burnout is common, and many employees leave within a year. - Weak and inexperienced leadership team. - No clear career framework or progression paths.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Reviews like this are important, and they do impact our people roadmap. On remote working and flexibility, this is foundational for us. We offer flexible hours and locations, unlimited holiday (with min 25-days), a wellbeing budget, and regular team retreats and workations. We want our primigos to have real autonomy and space to do great work sustainably. That said, in a global, high-growth environment, flexibility only works if people feel empowered to set boundaries. So we know we can do more to role model and reinforce that, especially across timezones. We're proud of the meaningful progress we've made on gender representation across the business in the past 12-months. There's more to do, but the trajectory is v positive. Similarly, on career progression, we recently rolled out refreshed career frameworks for every role at Primer. Creating clearer expectations, levels, and growth paths has been a big focus, and we'll continue iterating based on feedback to ensure they're always practical and valuable. We won’t get everything right, and we don't dismiss feedback. Experiences shared here are taken seriously and discussed at leadership level. Pros

This could have been a cool company. It's a smart product, thoguh not as innovative and unqiue as the founders think it is. Things that were advertised when I was hired like putting their people first, valuing differing opinions and new ideas, were a farce.

Cons

One of the Founders talks so condescendingly to his employees even publicly on slack that it’s alarming. Everyone is afraid to stand up to him so managers, and directors are all just yes men. Maybe the company wouldn’t be going down the tubes if they had listened to employees who were boots on the ground everyday and brought in more unique experiences than one entitled over-educated and pompous Frenchman. Micromanaging was EXCESSIVE at this company, if you don’t trust your employees, what are you doing?
