Pros
As long as you work in a store that isn’t directly under big brother’s watchful eye, you can practically do whatever you want. Don’t worry about getting fired because they won’t do it. Unemployement insurance is too expensive.
Cons
Prime is heavily micromanaged by the district managers. Each store has a store manager but not a single one has the power of authority. The store managers are repeatedly nagged to control their staff but aren’t given any tools to do so. That stress is transparent and infectious to the entire store. This company is best described as a “management training program.” Great for beginners. They’ll teach you the soft fundamentals of leadership but in no way is this a stepping stone in anyone’s career.
