Pros

Prime Publishing offers great internship opportunities, and their training program for editors and interns alike is very solid. Coworkers are great--very friendly and loyal to one another. The lower level managers I worked with were excellent listeners and did their best to help the people they managed. You learn a LOT in your first year, and you get a lot of experience that translates well to other work opportunities. Interview process isn't stressful-- recent college graduates are more than welcome here. Employees have the ability to work from home during inclement winter weather (a huge help with Chicago winters).

Cons

Upper management can be unnecessarily harsh and unwilling to listen or change; when I was there, upper management had a hard time understanding the high level of stress employees were under. Upper management was also prone to favoritism. There is a fairly constant need to justify the work you did, instead of being trusted to do the job you were hired to do.
