Supportive Work Environment - Mental Health Counselor Primary Behavioral Health Services Employee Review

Interview went well, I felt accepted and welcomed at the company. Working with clients was great and I felt like I was making a real difference.

In the end when I myself experienced a mental health crisis and went to the hospital I was later completely abandoned by the company. I hold no ill-will towards them however it has been hard for me to trust people now after being abruptly and even rudely feeling like I was kicked to the curb. I left a review on their Google page and then I later removed it. When I left my initial review they knew exactly who I was but they dismissed me and pretended they had no idea who I was. This is not how you run a company. I’ve never felt so abandoned by a company before.

I enjoy working for the supervisors and admin that are there currently. Very professional in how they handle training, clients, and meetings. Rewarding work that builds lots of experience.

The biggest drawback is that this is paid through billable hours. Hard to maintain consistent pay as clients often cancel last minute. additionally, providers who have more experience e are only paid $1 more per hour when facilitating shadowing for new employees.
