Pros

The benefits are good, the pay is comperable

Cons

Stay away from their food divisions in the prison. They have no idea of what quality or food safety is. Expired raw materials are bought and used on a daily basis. There are three other companies inside this company so you will have no ability to do food safety at all. Please do not relocate here if you are a food safety professional. They will give you a line about wanting to become SQF certified. This is untrue. It is used to hire and get you in the door. I am just placing this warning here so that some poor soul dosnt end up relocating his/her family only to find out that you will be expected to look the other way as the plant manager runs rampant and follows no regulations, food safety programs or even basic food security. You can not have a cell phone, work phone calls, or the internet. The programs in place are in no way aligned with the CFRS. Work somewhere else.

Pride trains inmates for real world employment. I learned several programming languages and am a full stack developer now. all this was learned in prison.

Cons

No cons. Their program was essential to my career in development.
