Pros

Work from home. Government benefits.

Cons

Micromanagement. No career growth. Managers are not clear with their decisions and blindly decide without your consent. Randomly implement rules without even asking the employees and mandate them to follow and if it didn't go as planned they will change it without notice and the cycle goes on.

Pros

The Culture - very inclusive, upbeat, collegial. Although the company is spread across Asia, Africa, and North America, it felt like one big family. We'd constantly celebrate each other's birthdays and major life events. Everybody feels a real sense of belonging. Learning & Career Growth - Constant opportunities to learn and grow skills, even the chance to travel globally to the company's offices in Asia and Africa. That was something different from most companies I've worked at.

Cons

This is not the best company for people who want to settle into a role and do the same thing every day. You have to enjoy exploring new areas and challenging yourself to learn new things, and if you can do that the company gives you a lot of responsibility and autonomy.

Pros

Fantastic teams both locally and abroad. The overseas teams are some of the best people you'll ever meet. The experience you gain from working with different businesses and executives is invaluable. You get to learn the in's and out's of every company function and the many ways they can be implemented to the point that you could likely run your own small business or work a higher ranking position at any other company.

Cons

Poor management, frequent retrograde compensation changes, and a hostile working environment. How your day goes doesn't depend on you but rather whatever mood your direct manager or upper management might be in that day. While that was recognized and upper management would say they're trying to change the culture for the better, it wasn't accounted for that upper management was the source of the problem. I am grateful for my experience there, and I've grown as a person since, but what I gained was knowledge about the kind of boss I don't want to be, and how to recognize when to change my personal situation and my surroundings for the better.
