Pros

Cant think of any pros seriously

Cons

MD like to micromanage and waste alot of time telling stories in the meeting room. So proper accounting system and all documentations still using manual entries in excel and their practices are very ancient. Working hours 8.30-6pm but staffs who leave at 6pm is labelled as lazy. High turnover rate but the management refuse to identify that they are the problem. Incapable and inefficient logistics manager who also lacks the basic form of respect for people including to the MD himself and caused alot of ppl to resign. Does not value good contribution and too judgemental relying on incapable senior staffs. Company practices a bad company culture encouraging staffs to have internal quarrels and disagreements thinking that it is good for growth. Unclear chain of command everybody wants to have the authority but no one wants to take responsibility. The list can still go on...

Pros

I am gonna be fair and state some good points. 1. Able to go out and network with client/customer in the oil and gas industry. 2. Able to do site visit at different tank farm 3. Thats about it

I am genuinely writing this so others dont have to go through what I went through. I will try to be as objective as possible. 1. It is a small company - There is no HR in the company. No proper management team and no proper chain of command. 2. Everything is all over the place. You are expected to "dig" information or past records from emails and the company server. 3. Server and emails are not maintained properly. 4. No proper handover/takeover. No senior to guide you. Many important information like admin stuff / work stuff is missing. Again you have to "dig" the information. 5. Quotation, Costing, PO, DO and invoice are all done in excel. No proper or standard template to follow as everything is a mess. Today must be like this, tomorrow will be a different thing. Following the old template makes you "too rigid" and "not flexible", Trying to improvise the template makes you "anyhow whack". 6. Some things that the boss does is unethical. Was told that some of the formulas we use in school is "wrong" and we have to follow his formula. 7. Meetings. meetings. meetings. dont even have the time to complete task. Got to the point where meeting will be called just to do said task together aka - micromanaging 8. Boss will share with you grandfather stories. And will remind you every other day like a broken record. 9. No AWS / No VB 10. Internal argument is a norm. 11. Going lunch with boss and discuss about work is a norm. 12. Always saying negative things about past employee. 13. Many more.
