Pros

Company itself is great. Really like my boss and the higher up management are very approachable and easy to talk to. (it's all by phone/email), Job is relatively easy and relaxed, you're your own boss essentially, can keep to yourself and do your work and speak to store employees when needed/want to, traveling to different stores is cool you're never in the same store more than 2 times a month. Weekends off. Never work passed 5 pm. Get reimbursed for gas. Awesome company phone.

Cons

Company keeps you just under 40 hours (either 32-35 hrs) a week, so you don't get benefits but they still consider you full time. Pay is pretty minimal..definitely not a job you can have and live on your own. No vacation time, sick time. Get a few holidays off...but don't get paid..but you can come in on a Saturday to make-up the hours. Still do paperwork and need to send in to home office. Don't pay for mileage. Only get a $200 car allowance a month which is split in two for your two paychecks a month (sometimes 3 depending on month, which in that case you don't receive car allowance in third check.) Gas reimbursement is great but there's a lot of rules and you essentially wait 2 weeks to get it back (it's in with your check). Products that are represented are very hard to sell displays with..they're expensive and not big in New England. It's hard to move up in the company..unless you live in Arkansas or willing to re-locate..the next job up is Region Manager...and they normally stay on for good. You do a lot of work for not much pay..

Pros

Ability to work independently and not be micromanaged on a daily basis. Able to plan out your travel schedule. Very nice leadership team and the company does what they can to help employees facing personal hardships. They do a lot to keep their regionals happy and they care about personal growth. Work life balance is very important for them. Paid time off during holidays.

Cons

Lots of travel, but you know that going in so you really can't complain too much! The most difficult part for me was finding good people to work territories that required a lot of driving but it's the nature of the business. I do feel like there was a lot of control at the home office pertaining to handling HR issues which has it upsides as well but I personally would have preferred managing those issues myself as far as corrective action and most performance discussions - I felt a lack of responsibility for my team almost. The home office wasn't great at communicating new policy role outs to us prior to employees finding out so we couldn't answer questions they had.
