Not a great place for women. - Administrative Assistant Preferred Electric Employee Review

Pros

One of the owners and some of the management staff are wonderful caring people, they support their employees and try to move the company forward.

Cons

Sexism is rampant, from small things like women's opinions being ignored to sexual assault. I was groped by project managers, verbally propositioned by men with power over me. I have seen parts of men there that I women should not be exposed to in a working environment. I did not want to leave the company but after the minimal response from the owners I felt unsafe.

Pros

Like anything, you get out what you put in. Office jobs aren’t for everyone and you can make a good living in the trades if you put in the effort. Benefits are good. Continuing education and training are available for those who want to progress.

Cons

No real complaints, if you’re looking for a job it’s a good place to go. If you’er looking for a career, you can do that as well, although hiring from within for senior level positions wasn’t common when I was there.
