Low pay - Medical Transcriptionist Precision Transcription Employee Review

Pros

Work from home remote position

Cons

Extremely low pay, no raises, no holiday pay, no nighttime differential pay, no bonuses, no advancement, no PTO, no paid sick days. You get constant email messages regarding errors on the reports, but they don't want to pay their transcriptionists a better wage so that the transcriptionists can take the extra time to review the report for errors, so the transcriptionists have to fly through the reports to make even a minimum wage. They don't pay the transcriptionists extra for stat reports either, even though they are probably charging the facilities and doctors more for those. They want the world from you and give little to nothing in return. They throw out an occasional thank you if they need extra help to get themselves out a bind; however, thank yous don't pay the bills, a decent livable wage and raises do. Another con is the blanket line rate that all employees get. It is such an insult to be a seasoned MT working here for years and making the same rate as a newbie, or being paid the same if you produce little to no errors compared someone who makes a bunch of errors.
