Pros

Good exercise Can allow you to build your confidence When I was there, the people that worked there with you were nice people. Don't know if that's changed in the last few years.

Cons

The turnover rate in the first 3 months has to be 99%. I worked there for about half a year and every 1 or 2 weeks they'd bring in a new group of 5 or 6 employees. Before the end of the month, it'd be very surprising if any of them were still there. I was the last one left in my group within 3 weeks. The boss seems to be "proud" of the high turnover rate. In his eyes it means they "simply can't hack it" and he never has to fire people because they leave on their own. The job revolves around going door-to-door and signing people up for different things. This means you need two things to be good at the job and appeal to the customers; natural charisma and good looks, neither of which you can really practice for. If you're unable to perform after the first month or so, then you don't really get assistance to help you improve as they've already moved on to helping the next batch of employees who will be gone within 2 weeks. The boss is also quite passive-aggressive about this and just tells you you're obviously not trying hard enough. 100% commission based, and the money you get per sign up isn't much. They have a system where you get 60% of the money up-front, and then the next 40% 3 or so months down the line. However, if you leave the company within those few months, they don't give you the 40% of the money you rightfully earned. Quite a scam in my opinion. EXTREMELY long hours. I used to get in the office at around 9.30am and didn't get home till past 11pm every night because you get driven out to the area in Essex where you're going to "pitch" by another team member and then get driven back at around 8.40pm each night and a lot of the time you're an hour+ away from Colchester which means you don't get back to Colchester until close to 10pm. They kind of shame you if you don't want to work Saturdays too.

Pros

Met good coworkers with great energy.

Cons

There is little transparency in the hiring process. The salary advertised is based on 6 days of work, not 5. You often work more than 8 hours in a day for no additional pay. Chaotic break arrangements, where you have to improvise a place to eat. The breaks do not last more than 30 minutes. They often schedule meetings for as late as 10PM. Some days start at 9AM, every day finishes at 8.30PM. Very poor work life balance.
