Pros
The work is compelling, and if you advocate for your research interests management does make the effort to staff you on projects that are of particular interest to you. Coworkers are great and highly capable of strong research work.
Cons
Extremely high turnover in the research staff stemming from poor company culture. PHE was purchased by a parent company a few years ago, and since then the focus has been strictly on revenues and not on the research. Senior management has recently made attempts to stymie the mass exodus of researchers, but has done little to execute on this. Career development opportunities are lacking.
