Pros

PreApprovalLetter.com is a startup with strong development knowledge in an agile environment which allows quick development turn-around times. The people who work at PAL treat each other like family and embody the phrase 'work hard, play hard'. The company offers 100% medical coverage and life insurance.

Cons

As a startup, there's often a lot of work to do and requires being a self-starter and creative problem solver. This can be quite demanding at times.

Pros

I was a software developer at this vibrant start-up and have to say it was a pleasant experience. I left because of medical issues but this company would rate as one of my better employers. Like most start-ups, you were left to freely discover alternate means of solving technical problems although obviously this was in direct relation with your technical abilities. Very cool and informal work setting allowed you to be comfortable while working and, although not without problems, everyone seemed to communicate effectively and work well together. A lot is expected of you as they have few employees working on tight deadlines; so technical proficiency or willingness to advance beyond your borders is a must. Not for those unwilling or unable to adapt.

Cons

As all start-ups, work was hectic and specifications changed frequently and direction was altered a few times. But these were never without communication and open status meetings where everyone felt a part of the process.
