Pros

There's a ton of great people working there

Cons

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said in other reviews here. Leadership is deeply hypocritical, and I'd be very surprised if the company makes it to the end of the year. During my time here, there were multiple waves of layoffs that came with little to no warning, despite leadership repeatedly patting themselves on the back for their "transparency." Leadership likes to playact accountability, and usually follows up by fishing for feedback only to summarily dismiss it. They went through several performance review systems during my time there (to remove bias from the promotion process, you see) and ignored all of them. The product itself is a mess, and I have trouble believing its making any sort of impact beyond letting a few big tech companies pretend they care about DEI. The positive reviews here are either astroturfed or written by people who are blissfully unaware and unconcerned with the treatment of their coworkers.

Pros

The purpose of the company is to create workplace training materials to support healthy and functional workplaces. The leadership put their own messaging into practice in their company by being transparent and supportive of the teams. There was room for advancement, and opportunities to learn both technical and people skills. The group of people working at Praxis are extremely creative, interesting and skilled in many areas from software development to art. They put a high level of care into what they produce and into the collaboration process.

Cons

As a start-up, time and funds were tight and this caused pressure on the job.
