Pros

- Employees are given opportunity and flexibility when the contracts allow for it - Management works to provide for employees even during situations like the government shutdown - They seem to be making updates to policies to make them more employee-friendly

Cons

- Government contracting is a unique space and some contracts are very restrictive regarding what employees can do while on those contracts (Telework, etc.)

Pros

Fellow coworkers on the contract were friendly and reasonable people. Insurance options for vision and dental were appreciated.

Cons

Powertek failed to send my resignation email to HR with a months advance notice. I informed them of my intent to take my last week of PTO in the email, which they acknowledged. Thursday, the week before my last week, they informed me that HR has given a mandate that I cannot take the last week, and they moved my end date to Friday the next day. They refused to allow me to donate my excess PTO which was set to be used for the next week, and refused to give me a copy of the employee handbook on request, since they ended access to the company intranet. They will adhere to their legal obligations, but will otherwise try to avoid working with you when they stand to benefit. Such as to avoid paying out over 40 hours of PTO.
