Pros

Great benefits package...Several Gov. contracts

Cons

Management is very poorly chosen and have a very small knowledge base and understanding of industry standards. I read all of the company reviews before I started working for Powertek. So far, all of the management complaints are spot on. The incompetence displayed so far is so evident, I find myself frustrated at the idea of having to continue on for much longer with Powertek.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you like the Benefits package and believe it is a very competitive Benefit offering that goes above industry standard. We are sorry to hear that your experience has not been as positive as most of our employees enjoy, and would encourage you to discuss your concerns with your direct manager, or escalate them to the Human Resources department as per our grievance policy. We understand that changes in workflow process or policy can be frustrating, but please know that we make such changes only after much discussion and deliberation. As a CMMI and ISO certified company, policy and process can feel more rigorous or structured than some employees are used to, but the end result for the customer is very positive. We encourage you to speak with your manager or HR regarding your specific concerns and hope your experience has gotten better since you wrote this review.

Pros

Fellow coworkers on the contract were friendly and reasonable people. Insurance options for vision and dental were appreciated.

Cons

Powertek failed to send my resignation email to HR with a months advance notice. I informed them of my intent to take my last week of PTO in the email, which they acknowledged. Thursday, the week before my last week, they informed me that HR has given a mandate that I cannot take the last week, and they moved my end date to Friday the next day. They refused to allow me to donate my excess PTO which was set to be used for the next week, and refused to give me a copy of the employee handbook on request, since they ended access to the company intranet. They will adhere to their legal obligations, but will otherwise try to avoid working with you when they stand to benefit. Such as to avoid paying out over 40 hours of PTO.
