Pros

The Clinicians in Action program at Powerback encourages advancement of its Clinicians for engagement of mentees, advancement of specialization, and increased participation of it's employees to promote clinical Excellence.

Cons

Upper management's focus on productivity and revenue counteracts the advancement of clinicians participation in these programs; and leaves little time to allow clinicians to engage in these activities.

What a great review! We truly appreciate you sharing your experience and insights regarding Powerback’s Clinicians in Action program. This initiative is an excellent way to recognize clinicians who excel, showcasing clinical leaders committed to mentoring and fostering professional growth and development. We value your constructive feedback and suggestions for management; I have relayed this information to our clinical senior leadership team. As you may know, Powerback offers open office hours, which provide an opportunity for you to express any concerns, ask questions, or share suggestions. Our COO holds these sessions weekly, and our clinical Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) host them bi-weekly. You can find the schedule and details in your Powerback Gmail calendar. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. The calendar includes a link for the virtual meeting and a phone number if you prefer to call in. Thank you once again for being such an important part of Powerback’s continuous improvement and success. Megan Marketing Specialist

Pros

Fifteen years ago, I joined this Rehabilitation company looking for more than just a job-I was looking for a place where I could make a meaningful difference. What I found was an organization whose mission aligned with my own values; helping people regain confidence, independence, dignity, and hope, during some of the most challenging times in their lives. From my very first day, I realized this was more than a workplace. It was a community of compassionate professionals united by a common purpose-supporting and guiding patients to achieve goals that they may have thought were out of reach. Whether it is assisting someone in taking their first steps after surgery, helping a patient return home safely and independently after an illness, or simply regain a lost skill, these moments continually remind me why our work matters so much and reinforces my commitment to this profession and especially to this organization which continually encourages me and empowers me to challenge myself and expand my capabilities. What has kept me here for the past 15 years, is not just the opportunity to build this career, but the opportunity to be a part of something bigger than myself. Powerback Rehab has fostered a culture of compassion, innovation, and continuous improvement. This company recognizes that when employees grow, patients benefit, and therefore communities become stronger. My decision to continue growing with Powerback Rehab is rooted in a simple belief. When you find a place that allows you to make a difference, supports your development, and shares your values, it becomes more than a workplace, it becomes a source of inspiration.

It's wonderful to hear that working at Powerback has had such a profoundly positive impact on your life. Thank you for sharing what has helped you to feel confident in your role at Powerback– we strive to provide our team members with ample opportunities to grow within their first role here, and beyond, and it's wonderful to see that this is highlighted in your experience. Our goal is to create a workplace where all team members can thrive: what that means is different for every unique individual, but to us, this means providing exceptional clinical support, career growth opportunities, and clearly defined policies that are set to ensure you're happiest while working with us. Thank you immensely for sharing what you feel has made Powerback such a special workplace for you for the past 15 years- it's an honor to be able to say that for 15 years, we've been a part of your life, and that this organization has made a lasting positive impact that aligns with your core values as a clinician. This feedback is incredible, truly. Thank you for sharing your insights! I'm sorry to hear that you feel that our new 401(k) discretionary match benefit does not exceed your expectations. We'd love to hear more about how we could make adjustments to better serve you. Ian Oppel, our COO, and Dr. Cass, Powerback's Clinical Consultant, offer space for staff at every level of care to share their candid thoughts, ideas, and concerns every Monday and Thursday. These national office hours, while optional to attend, are a great way to share your feedback directly with our leadership team. Many of our best ideas and suggestions to improve Powerback come directly from feedback from team members just like you. If you'd like to participate, you'll find additional details on your Powerback Gmail calendar. We sincerely appreciate your continued commitment to improving the lives you touch as a PTA. With your efforts, we know that patients have peace of mind on their journey to recovery. Thank you for all you do, and congratulations again on achieving such an incredible milestone at Powerback! Have a great day! --Aimee, Marketing Specialist

Pros

Flexibility let’s start times, days that you work

Cons

Hiring team not upfront about true responsibilities and work atmosphere. Was told I could be working at 8 to 430, no holidays, no weekends. When I started, I was told if you take off a holiday you would have to make it up on the weekend. I was also told no residence will work with you at 8 AM so I would wait to come in till later in the morning. Depending on the residence at the independent living facility you may not start when you want to start, lots of refusals and working around their schedule, not your own. Ended up being there much later than anticipated every night of the week, productivity requirements were impossible.

Hello, Thank you immensely for taking the time to share your candid feedback with us. We're incredibly sorry to hear that you did not receive the support you deserved as a new team member. While our process to request feedback in your first few weeks of hire is recent, this does not excuse what you've shared, that we failed to connect with you to learn how we could better support you in your new role. I'm so deeply sorry that this was your experience. Our ongoing goal for our culture and our staff is to create an experience where everyone can thrive at all levels of care. What you've shared here is incredibly helpful, as it includes the exact context I need to directly follow up on your concerns in order to better meet this goal. I've connected with the appropriate teams, and again, sincerely appreciate you sharing these difficult details of your experience. If you have absolutely any additional insights you'd like to share, please do not hesitate to participate in your exit interview process. This process allows us to connect with you 1:1 if needed to provide you with additional support, even as a former Powerback employee. If you'd like to participate, please keep an eye out for an email sent to your personal email address that was on file during your time at Powerback. We appreciate you taking the time to share with us what steps we needed to take to better serve you and support you– this feedback is incredibly important to us, and we take it seriously. Thank you again for your review– we sincerely wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. --Aimee, Marketing Specialist
