Pros

Flexible schedule for DOR, great team of therapists and colleagues.

Cons

GRS keeps taking things away from their long term EE's. DOR doesn't get PAID adequately...or even near what competitors pay. the Therapists make same or $1-2 less than manager... Responsibilities of DOR increase with no pay increase or appreciation of what they do (other than a simple "thanks"). Max merit is 2% for anyone. No WEB for managers working in own gym. since going public in Feb 2015, productivity and labor management are beaten to death. Old area director was amazing and a huge people person...GRS realigned and you guessed it, AD was moved and new AD came in. Now Use of Micromanagenent is an understatement. No autonomy. Little support from Area management team for DOR with troubled administrator/building. Annual reviews for management are NEVER done timely resulting in wating for increase and retro pay that gets messed up...then your asked to explain why #'s dont add up with the budget. :( Morale was fantastic for a couple years and coming to work was fun. I do still enjoy all my coworkers and staff...they are like family.... Problem really lies within Genesis corporate and their lack of humility and understanding the idea of taking care of your own people. Cuts, cuts and more cuts. Medical benefits went up and choices were decreased to (2). This is a healthcare company.... Where's the healthcare for your people who make GHC the $$$?

Pros

Flexibility let’s start times, days that you work

Cons

Hiring team not upfront about true responsibilities and work atmosphere. Was told I could be working at 8 to 430, no holidays, no weekends. When I started, I was told if you take off a holiday you would have to make it up on the weekend. I was also told no residence will work with you at 8 AM so I would wait to come in till later in the morning. Depending on the residence at the independent living facility you may not start when you want to start, lots of refusals and working around their schedule, not your own. Ended up being there much later than anticipated every night of the week, productivity requirements were impossible.
