Pros

There is no reason to join PowerVision.

Cons

Stay away from this company. Do not join them. Products Just go on Google or Amazon and check the reviews. Products are out of date, ridiculously overpriced, and can't beat the competition. The water drones are extremely niche. The aerial drones can't beat the competition and are still priced much higher, nobody buys them, video quality and stabilization are horrible. The smartphone gimbal is priced much higher than the market and doesn't really stabilize properly. Sales Insignificant. It is simple. The competition offers better solutions at a better price. Nobody buys PowerVision products. CEO The main problem of the company. Very arrogant and not humble at all. The main issues of the company and products are extremely obvious. But he doesn't listen at all and pushes his own ideas against all common sense. He loves to talk for hours in meetings about his visions and ideas, while most people space out during these brainwashes after few minutes. Leadership Every step has to be approved by the CEO. So it is a small group of senior people who fight between each other non-stop. Actually heard a lot of fowl language there. Very bad atmosphere and constant stress. People constantly trying to backstab each other. Leading to massive turnover. Nobody stays there for a year. Fun Actually it is a lot of fun if you consider it as watching a comedy show. It is basically an absurdist play brought to reality. We had a real good time discussing the company on the lower decks.

Company provide all benefits. Working with drones are fun

Cons

Does not make too much effort try to fit in US market. All important decisions are made in China. Hard to accomplish a lot here

Pros

Who wouldn't want to work for a drone company? Super cool products, with a simplicity philosophy behind, created and pushed by the global CEO's dreams. But that's about it, the fun ends there.

Cons

- This company doesn’t have any form of structure or organization whatsoever, very old-fashioned way of working, no processes, no tools, no CRM, everything is mostly done over Excel sheets emailed back and forth, then painfully updated manually. All that sits over a very hierarchical mindset, nobody never dares to question Chinese management decisions, no matter how nonsense they are. Forget that you'll be able to propose new ideas if you're not Chinese your opinion will be absolutely ignored. - At the Beijing HQ, they have lots of people developing products and managing most of the company operations, but only a handful speak some English (not even conversational) what makes communication and progress extremely slow and painful. They have their ways of doing things and are never willing to hear or change. It's paradoxically hilarious that they always criticize and laugh at how Western companies go to China and fail miserably because they don’t understand the Chinese market, but they're making the same mistake trying to do business with Europe and America following the Chinese way. - Products look so cool but super expensive (the main reason why they don’t sell) and full of bugs and quality control problems, just google it and you'll find dozens of customer (unattended) complaints. - At least in the European branch they promise to have a culture of transparency and communication, which all is left on the paper because the management is the first one incapable to communicate and connect effectively with employees, with hidden agendas and mainly driven by unethical practices, which in their view are perfectly OK by the way. - Incredibly the CEO not only completely lacks any management skills, also doesn't seem to have any clue on how to develop the business. Resulting in a change of strategy and directions every few weeks. If you try to challenge any idea or do something proactively, you'll end up being shouted (literally). - There's an R&D team in the middle of Finland and a support & logistics facility in Poland which cook apart, but at least in the main European office - despite being only a dozen employees - there's an incredibly toxic working environment, in six months four employees were hired, same that resigned themselves shortly after, some as soon as three weeks. Sales representatives across Europe are also abandoning the ship in mass. - So, avoid making the mistake of your life, stay away from this company.
