Pros

The only consistently positive aspect is that salaries are generally paid on time. One annual benefit is a company T-shirt worth approximately 300 BDT.

Cons

Current Situation The company has been conducting regular layoffs with little transparency. The common pattern appears to be isolating employees from projects and then calling them into the office for termination with little prior communication. Approximately 10% of the technical team has already been laid off, and there are widespread concerns that further downsizing may occur in the coming months. Leadership Leadership appears disconnected from day-to-day project realities. Senior management often lacks visibility into project challenges and tends to focus on assigning blame rather than understanding root causes and supporting teams. Decision-making is reactive, and there is little evidence of strategic direction or long-term planning. HR Team The HR department functions primarily as an administrative body rather than a people-focused organization. Employee concerns regarding career growth, salary reviews, and workplace improvements often go unanswered. Annual appraisal and salary increment processes have been suspended for years without clear communication. There is little effort to improve employee engagement, workplace culture, or retention. Project Management Team Project management places excessive emphasis on worklogs and delivery metrics while often overlooking employee well-being and realistic planning. Developers frequently face aggressive deadlines and are expected to work overtime or weekends to compensate for poor estimation and planning. Sustainable work practices are largely absent. Business Analysis Team The Business Analysis function suffers from gaps in product ownership, technical understanding, and stakeholder communication. Requirements are often unclear or poorly managed, resulting in unnecessary rework and frustration for development teams. Many project challenges could be avoided through stronger product management and better client communication. Compensation & Benefits Benefits are significantly below market expectations: No annual salary increments Weak Eid bonus policy (18% in Year 1, 36% in Year 2, 45% in Year 3) No earned leave policy No provident fund No health insurance No subsidized meals No leave encashment or leave carry-forward policy No meaningful team-building activities or employee engagement programs One memorable annual benefit is a company T-shirt worth approximately 300 BDT. Workplace Culture The company promotes a positive culture externally, but employee experience tells a different story. One example is the lack of adequate facilities for female employees. There is only one proper female washroom, which is reserved for management personnel. Female employees must request the key from HR and return it afterward, creating unnecessary inconvenience and raising concerns about workplace inclusivity and employee dignity.
