Pros

You get to be around sports. And Apple TV is cool. And the thorns are great.

Cons

You will be managed by people who don’t have a background in creative, production, content, or design that aren’t up to speed or interested in current trends. Most of the work is churn and burn without much intentionality. There’s absolutely no work life balances and deadlines are made to set you up for failure (bullying and manipulation tactic from mgmt). Not a conducive environment for idea sharing and feedback unless you conform to how leadership looks (white middle aged male). Lack of transparency and bullying from leadership, and not a healthy work environment overall. Forget about work life balance. Not everyone there is a bad person but there is a string of leadership that has immunity from any accountability.

Pros

Great front office culture, a really great group of people working towards a common goal.

Cons

Working nights/weekends but that is to be expected in this space!

Pros

The Timbers are deeply connected to the community and their fans, and being part of that energy is both inspiring and rewarding. It’s rare to find a workplace where you can feel this much purpose and excitement behind what you do, and every day feels like you’re contributing to something bigger. The organization has a great culture with supportive and friendly people. There’s a strong sense of teamwork, and it’s clear that everyone cares about what they do. Being part of such a well-known organization with a passionate fanbase and community involvement makes the experience unique and memorable.

Cons

Like all sports organizations, the busy season can mean long hours or an irregular schedule. Work life balance can be challenging at times.
