Pros

As a former volunteer, I was well aware of how Portland Rescue Mission valued the people that they serve every day. When I took a full-time position with them I learned that they also truly value the relationships that they have with staff. The HR department goes to great lengths to support the staff on every level. The culture is like no other workplace I've experienced in the best possible way and there is opportunity to grow, experiment, and learn. I am very grateful to be working alongside people who have a heart to see lives restored.

Cons

I have no cons to share.

Pros

Working at Portland Rescue Mission has been a huge blessing in my life. PRM compassionately serves guests and program participants in tangible ways that make a huge difference in stabilizing the lives of men, women and children. I am constantly touched by the hard work and care demonstrated by my coworkers. PRM is caring for the most vulnerable in our city and doing it with professionalism and integrity.

Cons

PRM is a donor-funded, non-profit so wages may not be as competitive as social service organizations with bigger pockets (and more bureaucracy).
