      Pros

      the people hired at the firm are good with hardworking people who somehow get sold to join the firm

      Cons

      I have never seen a worse CEO and COO combination at a firm EVER. They create a toxic work environment, create a fear based culture as their way of motivating people, hire for jobs above people before they even know about them, and the COO speaks negatively about people in front of other people....I have never seen a COO talk badly to others as a way to build her own relationships. For a company that prides themselves on being competitive, consider looking at what you play your operations teams, it is comically below average for the work expectations. Except to never get raises here unless someone really likes you.

      Pros

      Portage Point is a place where you can genuinely build a career if you're motivated to do so. The exposure you get here is hard to find elsewhere. I have been working on meaningful, complex work with high exposure to senior leadership from day one. Career growth is merit-based rather than tenure-based. If you raise your hand and ask for more responsibility, leadership listens and delivers. Promotions are well-earned and attainable. Also, the comp structure is rewarding and competitive.

      Cons

      The pace is fast and expectations are high. You'll probably need to check emails over the weekends. Benefits are good, but I heard HR is going to roll out more competitive offerings very soon, which I'm looking forward to.
