Pros

Four years in, and I still feel like my work actually matters here. I have real ownership over what I do, not just executing on someone else's vision, but shaping it. When I bring an idea to the table, it gets a genuine conversation and often ends up being built and shipped. Autonomy is truly a core value, and everyone I work with values that for themselves and each other. The company culture allows me to get my work done, while also getting to be there for my family on my terms.

Cons

Occasionally feels a bit like a startup and can get a bit hectic, but for those who thrive in an ever changing tech world and enjoy context switching often, this could be more of a pro than a con!

Pros

Everyone at Poll Everywhere is great to work with: Solid people, good at what they are hired to do and give effort to make a positive impact Cross-team collaboration has grown stronger over the past few years and is becoming a company strength The clients I have worked with in my time here have been a pleasure to partner with. For the most part, they care about and are invested in the impact that Poll Everywhere can make for their team. This makes the job more rewarding than it would be. In-person retreats to connect with your fellow remote colleagues is always a blast. These are done about once a year to 1.5 years The company is building high quality products and updates that will bring Poll Everywhere "to the next level" in the near future. An exciting time to be at the company or a user of the Poll Everywhere platform

Cons

Poll Everywhere can be seen as a "nice to have" rather than a "must-have" for some clients. Additionally, some of our University partners have policies around "pushing" tools on their faculty. This can create a challenge to grow product adoption when there is hesitancy to or pushback on promoting the product internally. The team and company overall is on the low-end of "head count" so you might need to wear a few different 'hats' at times. It's something I'm used to and had prior experience in start-ups of smaller orgs. But if someone were to join without that understanding or experience, it could be overwhelming or seen as a Con.

Pros

Poll Everywhere gives AEs a high level of autonomy and trusts you to run your pipeline. Leadership is accessible and transparent, and communication across teams feels authentic rather than performative and superficial. The product is stronger than ever, and Engineering and Product are highly engaged in bringing the best possible solution to market. Benefits are competitive, work-life balance is respected, and remote work is fully supported without micromanagement.

Cons

This role expects a high level of autonomy, self-accountability, and ownership. With that higher-than-average expectation comes a corresponding level of respect, trust, and care from management and leadership. That balance is a major positive for the right person, but if you’re looking for a heavily guided role where you can simply punch in and punch out each day, this probably isn’t the right fit.
