Pros
Good compensation, and benefits. Work is challenging and in no way boring. Always something to do. Technicians are responsible for everything from tool to abatement. Tools to do the job, parts always available for repairs without a lot of waiting. Also great software tools for tracking tool performance and failures. Some overtime is available.
Cons
Time-off plan by comparison to other companies is just OK. The company does not recognize Christmas as a holiday, but instead offers two days annually of Religious Choice which allow you to choose two days off at any point in the calendar year. Advancement is merit based but not immediate amd the path is clear today but will change tomorrow. If you are TN2 today with experience but perform better than any TN5 you won’t be advanced to that. It’s a step function that requires years and patience which serves to lock you in. It’s tougher to move from company to company and build a career when current advancement is being limited. Externally it gives the perception that you aren’t growing or advancing when your skills and abilities would say otherwise.
