Pros

There are some great people who work this company, but those who are not nurses or statisticians are just there because they have bills to pay. The company had benefits when I was there and they had a few very well-meaning people that I miss.

Cons

It's sad that this was an employer that once found itself named among top employers in the area. You have this situation where there is a matrix of fly-in/drive-by management style, a crushing behind the scenes amount of strange hires, VP titles thrown to any new employee and an almost nonexistent sales department and a very disengaged marketing group which functions external to the company, siphons business away from the core, and this all to the detriment of some decent investors, clinicians and statisticians. That's probably the scariest thing. HR is largely a puppet for the Company, capital C, to watch out for the greater good of the company - this is a company that sticks to that model and does not value its people or its development beyond making sure that their ideas are silenced if it isn't a popular idea one. Tech team is off creating things nobody asked for, presenting the tech to a vanguard of Product Management who absolutely serve as the the end of the line. Things simply don't get seen by customers. If Product Management likes a thing, they might truck it to a customer but it'll die there too no matter what was done or whose neck was stomped on to make it happen And at that stage money is not an issue (until it is). As a low-level clerical employee who dealt mostly in travel planning and booking for the company I saw a lot of good but a ton of bad here. One look at this company's publicly available data sheet and you know that they have a product with no market. Actually, the market exists but the company lacks a sales department which is ridiculous. Instead of investing in an actual sales channell they have a toxic, infighting, ankle-biting marketing department full of gossipists and storytellers that accomplish almost nothing and take forever to get that 'nothing' out the door. New hires are bought in, red carpet rolled out, fancy titles given to so called industry veterans who are tasked to take ownership of the entire client life-cycle despite the fact that this is the rallying cry given to every single employee that interviews or is hired. This ruins everything. This is a company that in 5 years is a desiccated husk of what it once was. It is a company that somehow found itself rated as a top employer in Boston to one that simply is not, in a disastrous 2015-present. How often do companies make it to that list and then drop off that list the next year? I am functionally placed in (and by) HR due to my role and I can assure the reader that this dropoff, this plummet, is unheard of yet they managed it and that speaks volumes. A very weak and green tech leadership structure and rudderless product matrix makes this just a place to avoid like the Norway maelstrom.
