Pros

Can't find any. When I left, I had no regrets. I was happy.

Cons

They try to reconfigure their development process, and it has happened many times. But nothing helps. Narcissistic management ruins everything. You will have no opinion on how to do things right, they will say how and why (because of the Firm principles). Meaningless processes in development just to sugar a pill for upper management. Nobody knows anything behind 1 cm from their eyes (actually, they do but don't want to waste their time on you). Everybody will try to find out the name who caused the accident instead of trying to solve the root cause. Coalition in your team is fine, nobody will try to fix it, even more, sometimes somebody could push the gas to make the situation worse. So, be prepared to be bullied, you will be alone. In general, a low level of expertise, trying to do things as much as possible, may be for the sake of saving their jobs because nobody will understand this legacy hell. But the Firm says goodbye very easily and fast. Don't wait for a raise, it will never happen if you are a line worker.

Pros

Excellect company culture, beautiful offices, very good compensation and benefits, amazing opportunities for professional development

Cons

Very fast paced and innovative with high expectations, if you aren't a fast learner and highly adaptive you won't last here. It's a hedge fund so be prepared for some serious egos, but generally speaking the people are quite nice. They don't have a CFO, so it sometimes feels like central coordination/strategy is lacking to the back office finance function.

Pros

Smart people always willing to help Great benefits/pay/lunch stipend etc. Collegiate environment, most analysts are in their mid- late-20's

Cons

Work can become repetitive - same coverage for multiple years at a time speaking to the same people Limited work life balance (but its a hedge fund so you should expect that going in) A lot of micromanagement/bureaucracy. Too many cooks in the kitchen overseeing work, can make the research process tedious
