Pros

There are some great people working at Pocket. The parent company (Mozilla) treats the employees well. They are transparent about decisions, financials, etc.

Cons

The 2x a year goal setting and evaluation process is very time consuming and they haven't quite figured it out yet. Lots of turnover in leadership at Mozilla, which doesn't directly impact most people at Pocket, but it does take a toll. Career growth is heavily dependent on your team/manager.

Pros

A thoughtful and supportive workplace. Leadership and employees are both generally understanding and communicative. Feedback is given in a reasonable and transparent manner.

Cons

Working with a distributed team can present its unique challenges. As a result, things can be a little disorganized at times, but nothing major.

Pros

This team is incredible. Everyone is thoughtful, passionate, and simply a joy to work with. At the moment, our team is around 60 and although we've grown rapidly, the culture is still one of low-ego and high-passion, which many companies our size cannot say! One of my favorite things about Pocket's culture is how approachable our leadership team is, including Nate (founder/CEO.) Not only is he, and the rest of the leadership team, approachable, but don't be surprised to see folks on the leadership team emptying the dishwasher, grabbing coffee down the street with someone on the same or different team, and having a genuine interest in how people are doing. Other pros: - remote friendly - actually a work/life balance - devoted to diversity, inclusion, and equity - great compensation, benefits, and perks

Cons

Truly can't think of any right now
