Pros

I've been with PlusOne for over 3 years, and couldn't be happier in my position. This company promotes nearly 100% from within, and there are opportunities abound for motivated individuals, and I was able to move up within 1 year of employment. After 4-6 weeks of training, you are able to make $14 per hour, provided you work your full shifts throughout the pay period. Aside for the high rate of pay for easy, entry-level work, there are also lucrative bonus opportunities for adding new services for customers. Expectations are subject to change for certain metrics, but are easily attainable so long as you listen to the guidance you are given, and put out the effort required. For all the people I have seen come and go over the years, I can confidently say that upwards of 98% were solely due to attendance issues or outright abusing the customers. Don't buy into the negative reviews, as they are not painting an accurate picture, and are almost always coming from disgruntled former employees who essentially fired themselves. So long as you come to work with an open mind, and a desire to succeed, I can guarantee that you will do well here. For lack of better word, it is DIFFICULT to be fired from this job if you make an effort and commit to improving where necessary.

Cons

People often mention that you receive a pay cut if you call off, but in reality, the $14/hr is a reward for working out your full pay period, it is a bonus to your base rate of $9/hr. Our computer systems can occasionally run slowly due to the number of external systems we need to utilize, this can be frustrating when you are trying to work with a customer. Schedule changes may cause you to receive a new Supervisor, which can be frustrating if you have been with the same team since being hired.

Pros

Opportunity for promotion, especially if you are friends with someone who is already a supervisor or higher position (non-customer service rep). They claim to offer flexible scheduling but it is extremely difficult to get schedules changed at this 24/7 facility, and new people always get stuck with unfortunate late night shifts. Decent starting pay ($9/hr), although they claim the average call center rep makes over $12.50/hr which is simply not true.

Cons

Micromanagement is key here. Things change overnight and you are expected to just roll with it. Some shady business as well - policies will change without properly informing employees, then the employees are held accountable despite never having been fully informed of the changes, then management will sneak out a company email referencing a 'reminder' of a policy change from months back that was never announced. Employees are constantly getting swindled out of bonuses (they announced a change to the bonus plan AFTER the end of the month the bonus was earned, and expected employees to just be ok with it). It is easy to get a job there because they are desperate for call center reps (as they have gone though 2/3 of the folks in Akron by now), but be warned - you can just as quickly get fired from here as you are hired. This place is just bad news altogether.
