Pros

Working at Plus 1 Communications has been a great experience for me so far. There are a range of different clients and that means every day is different. The work is varied and exciting and the agency is constantly growing. It definitely gets busy and that can sometimes feel difficult but the team is supportive and people are always on hand to help when you ask for it. The team work really hard to put social events together like Christmas and Summer parties. There is also a really nice atmosphere in the office, which is in a great location!

Cons

As mentioned it can get very busy but this is normal for the industry and is usually in the run up to big events, which are exciting to work on.

Pros

Absolutely nothing, except some colleagues

Cons

If you’re looking for a workplace where you’re trusted, supported, and treated like a professional, look elsewhere. The culture is built around control rather than leadership. Employees are actively discouraged from socialising, to the point where even taking lunch together isn’t allowed. Instead of encouraging teamwork, the environment feels isolating and demoralising. Support from senior staff is virtually non-existent. You’re expected to go through them for everything, yet they’re rarely available when you actually need them. This creates endless bottlenecks, delays work unnecessarily, and leaves employees being held accountable for problems they have no power to solve. Poor planning is the norm. Everything is suddenly “urgent” at the last minute, often because of avoidable management failures. Rather than taking responsibility, the pressure is simply pushed onto everyone else. You’re expected to constantly drop everything to deal with manufactured emergencies. There is a clear imbalance of power, with some senior staff appearing more interested in maintaining control than enabling people to do their jobs. Initiative isn’t rewarded, communication is poor, and the lack of trust is obvious in day-to-day working practices. The result is a stressful, frustrating workplace where morale suffers, collaboration is stifled, and employees are set up to fail instead of being given the tools to succeed. There are far better employers out there who understand that treating people with respect and trusting them to do their jobs leads to better outcomes for everyone. Stay away
