Pros

One week off every quarter

Cons

I have honestly never felt more taken advantage of from a company. I accepted my position with a bare-minimum salary with the idea that career growth would be taken seriously and my work would eventually pay off. Unfortunately, I’ve been proved wrong. There are plenty of people who deserved promotions that did not receive them. Even merits and raises have been placed on hold due to the financial state of the company. I truly don’t know how much longer Pluralsight will stand, especially after letting go of so many valuable people. There have been 3 massive layoffs since December of 2022, yet many of those jobs are now being offered in India. And the severance package offered to those let go is so minimal, it’s straight up disrespectful. If the culture was ever a happy one, it isn’t anymore. Don’t get swept away by the benefits package, it doesn’t make up for everything I’ve mentioned above. Trust me, no amount of “recharge weeks” are going to remedy the burnout you’ll develop while working here. Know your worth.

Pluralsight Response

I’m sorry to hear about your experience at Pluralsight. We’ve been through a lot of change and had to make some difficult but necessary decisions for the health of the business – including restructures and staff reductions. I believe we’re headed toward a brighter future. While we didn’t offer merit or market adjustments this year, we did keep our first promotion cycle and will be running an additional one later this year. Promotions at Pluralsight have always been based on performance and business need, which means not everyone will receive a promotion. However, we do prioritize internal mobility and want to help our team members achieve their career goals. If you aren’t satisfied with your growth, I encourage you to reach out to your leader or People Business Partner to formulate a path that works for you. -Will
