Warning: Company in decline - Software Engineering Director Pluralsight Employee Review

I was caught in the December 2022 layoffs so my opinion is naturally skewed. The company culture was clearly in decline since Vista's takeover, but I had some expectations that the rigor Vista brought would ultimately make us more efficient and financially viable, but there was no indication that cuts were on the horizon until the day it happened. Had I remained I would have been apprehensive that any day would be my last, as it has been for many folks who made it through the first cut. My advice to anyone there would be to give yourself plenty of time to find another job, which means you should start looking right now. To anyone considering joining, I would advice you to approach any offers with caution and even if you do join, keep your eyes and ears open for something more stable elsewhere.
