Pros
- Best thing hands-down is going to be the people you get to work with. There are so many smart, talented, delightful people there. - The compensation is pretty good. - The unlimited PTO is great and you USED to be encouraged to take it. I'm not sure if that's still the case though.
Cons
- Business approach is to overhire too many people and then hold layoffs again and again (rinse & repeat) - The people hired are not necessarily the people who are needed. I'm not sure who there is making decisions on what teams/jobs to prioritize. Lots of teams don't have enough people to do the jobs that they have and the teams keep getting smaller, rather than bigger. - Executive leadership is so far removed from the customers that they have no idea what's needed or what their customers are wanting. I watched them completely do away with the support team for one of their products with absolutely no recourse on how to support those customers who were needing help or were reporting broken or outdated content. - Layoffs at LEAST twice a year. Sometimes quarterly though. I was there 3.5 years and saw 7 rounds of layoffs (from 10-15 people at a time to 400+ people at a time) before I was finally laid off as well in round #8.
