Pros

This company has some great swag, which includes one of my favorite jackets. I've had some great co-workers who have become good friends of mine. The conferences are also a blast to attend!

Cons

There is no roadmap to promotion, workers are expected to stay content in their role and not aspire to go above and beyond. My pay was significantly lowered due to a new broken commission structure and an unattainable quota, giving me financial struggles I did not have to endure a year prior. I would often have to work significantly longer hours running into the evening and would get little in return. The attrition at this company is crazy, with people constantly being hired and then fired which became the norm. A majority of the best employees and management ended up leaving if they weren't fired. The lack of structure was an issue, with processes being constantly changed bi-monthly making things very chaotic. Unlimited PTO but it's always an issue if you take time off.

Pros

The first couple of years were a really positive experience. There was great collaboration across the team, I worked with a lot of talented people, and I felt like I was learning and growing in my role. Annual increases were very reasonable as well. I genuinely enjoyed the people I worked with and the environment early on.

Cons

After leadership changes, there was a very noticeable shift in company culture. It became a much less enjoyable place to work, and there seemed to be a general sense that a lot of people were unhappy. In my final year, I had direct challenges working with a new manager, which was ultimately the driving reason I made the decision to leave. I gave consistent feedback about feeling stagnant in my role and concerns about career growth. While those concerns were acknowledged, I was told that the role needed to become entirely execution-focused rather than have any strategic initiative/ownership and that there was limited opportunity to change that given the current stage of the organization and extremely limited headcount. Direction and feedback were often vague, words didn’t always align with actions, and support was limited. The communication style was also at times unprofessional. This combination made it difficult to stay motivated and enjoy my role, and made it clear it was time to move on. Overall: There were definitely strong positives early on, but the shift in culture and leadership changed the experience significantly. I would encourage anyone considering joining—especially within marketing—to ask detailed questions about team dynamics, leadership style, and growth opportunities, and ensure you have the opportunity to speak with multiple team members.
