People in the management cannot be trusted. It is a small click protecting each other. If you are a threat to them, you will likely be out of a job very soon, likely without warning. I have seen a lot of highly qualified and talented people being sacked. Reason for getting sacked: try to change things, express more knowledge than your superior, take travel opportunities away from your superior, ask questions about your superiors work load, have different political views than management. Everyone is very smiley and nice (fake) so you will never know if you are in danger. People are also being treated very differently. Some have very high workloads while others are doing nothing. It really depends on your manager. If you are in the group of high work load, don't expect a higer pay. However it is likely your manager will get a better bonus. Some (all) in the management only think about advancing their own careers. It's a very cynical and selfish group of people
