Pros

Kids love the camp. Fun nerdy theme.

Cons

Management cuts corners to save money and expects camp staff to pickup the slack. Hiring department is completely incompetent. Expect your camp to be understaffed and for people to leave mid-season. The “library” for each camp is a collection of completely destroyed books. Pay is meh. Was fine after one summer of working as a Prog Coordinator. Loved my team and became great friends. Following year I applied for the same job in Feb, they made me sign up for another interview and then cancelled less than an hour before the scheduled time. Rescheduled and then they got the time wrong because they “forgot the time zones”. The interview was for someone who has clearly never worked for the company. Didnt hear back for two just to be told “We hope to be in touch next week regarding a second interview.” Waited over TWO weeks to send another follow up just to get a selection of times I couldnt make because I was out of the country. Finally managed to get a second interview time two whole months after my first interview. They got the time wrong AGAIN and then had the audacity to say “oh by the way we’re not hiring Prog Coordinators this year, would you like to be a counselor?”. Turned down jobs and delayed work plans for months for this company. They dont care about their staff and they certainly dont care about their “‘mission”.
